What to do to eat in an emergency? So, for example, when guests visit you and you have absolutely nothing to eat. Or when just in the world of the weekend you got into the Netflix show and the last thing you feel like cooking is, but would you eat something hot?
If you have a bakery outside your house, just go for a hot loaf of bread and a cube of butter - it always works. ðŸ™‚ Or always have a pack of puff pastry in your freezer, because it's one of the ingredients of these simple and tasty dumplings. You should find the rest in the kitchen cabinet. I found a recipe for these French pastry in one of my favorite cookbooks written by Alicja Rokicka, the author of the blog Wegan NerdTake a look at her blog and see what beautiful pictures she does and how beautifully she cooks. Once, here on the blog I was showing you a delicious soup, for which I also found a recipe in this book. These recipes are very simple, vegan and from our Polish seasonal ingredients.
RECIPE FOR DELICIOUS SOUFFET CUP

FRENCH CAKE DEALS WITH Lentils RECIPE
Ingredients for approx. 10-12 dumplings
packaging / sheet of ready-made puff pastry
1 cup dry red lentils
2 onions
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon garam masala
salt
pepper
1/2 teaspoon sweet pepper
flour to spread
beaten egg
Mint - lemon sauce
pack of Greek yogurt lemon
peel
garlic clove a
few freshly chopped mint leaves
salt
pepper
1/2 teaspoon honey

Prepare the dumpling stuffing

Cook the lentils in lightly salted water in a 1: 2 ratio. It should be soft and even fall apart slightly.
Heat oil or coconut oil in a frying pan or preferably clarified butter and fry the finely chopped onion so that it glazes.
Add strained lentils to onions, season with cinnamon, garam masala, pepper, salt and paprika. Mix thoroughly and cool down.

Prepare the dough for dumplings

Spread the puff pastry sheet on the flour-covered board. Cut the circles like dumplings with a glass. Apply a teaspoon of stuffing to each circle (as in the photo). Stuff them like dumplings and press the edges with a fork.
Brush the top of dumplings with beaten egg. If you fancy, sprinkle them with sesame seeds.
Put them prepared on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes (until they are golden).

Prepare the sauce

Mix all the sauce ingredients. Finely chop the mint. Serve with warm dumplings, which taste good even when cold, so they are a great option to take them with you in the box.
